Welcome to Corning Chinese School!

CCS was established in 1999 and reorganized 2005.

It offers standard Chinese ( Simplified ) and Pinying ( phonetics ).

Currently, CCS covers 6 levels from preschool for 5-6 year-old to adult class. It is open to all people in the community who want to learn Chinese.

Enrollment: 46 students in 2006.  School Time: 2 hours on Weekends.

Textbook: Zhong Wen series textbook edited by Jinan Universty

Corning Chinese School 

Mission

Corning Chinese School (CCS) is dedicated to providing Chinese education for local community. 

It also promotes Chinese cultural awareness and offers Chinese language training to assist

exchange programs between the US and China.

 

Education

Standard Chinese (simplified characters) based on Pin Yin (standard Chinese phonetics

system) 

 

Students

All children and adults from local communities who want to learn Chinese language, regardless of nationality, ethnicity, religion, and political background. 

 

Organization

CCS consists of management team, teacher’s association, parents’ association and student

council.

 

Rule and Regulation

CCS is a Chinese education institution.  No one is allowed to conduct political or religious

activities within school, or represent CCS to conduct any activities outside the school without Management Team’s authorization.
